A tale of two polls

Lazarus Proving once again that polling is about interpretation, Sydney's two dailies have different takes on today's newspoll. For the slightly pink SMH which largely sells in Sydney's north shore and eastern suburbs (where the middle classes feign to be shocked by Howard's alleged duplicity) the poll brings "a modest swing  to the Government". For the Daily Telegraph which is more popular in the rest of Sydney the new poll is "a stunning recovery" for the Government, as in lazarus-like.

Of course, there  is more than a little wish-fulfillment in these divergent interpretations.
