Uniting Care Ageing; "using new media to bring pressure to bear on an old issue"

Uniting Care  Ageing (NSW/ACT) - a JWM client -  today became one of the first major Austalian NGOs to start using blogs, podcasts even Youtube to raise awareness about a critical community issue. I think this the first step on a long journey for community organisations which have so far been slow to embrace the opportunities created by social media:

The new website serves as a forum for people interested in aged care to voice their opinions, register their concerns, find information and generally discuss one of Australia’s most critical issues – our ageing population and the future of aged care.
