Swan grows in confidence, stature

With the opening night nerves behind him, Swan turned in great performances at the National Press Club and in Question Time today. Meanwhile, the Opposition looks like a rabble and Brendan Nelson looks like he is on life support.

There was a devastating piece by Heather Ewart on Thursday night's ABC 7.30 report juxtapositioning a 1997 clip of Brendan Nelson in parliament condemning alcopops as a scourge of Australia's youth next to a clip from his budget in reply speech condemning raising taxes on alcopops.
