No one would have been surprised to find that some of the large construction companies appointed to do this work have turned out to large donors to the Labor Party in a corporate version of the “no ticket, no start” rule.
This snide remark comes from Abbott's dull economics speech (the guy's got nothing) and it's typical of Abbott's approach of making sweeping unsubstantiated allegations of the wink, wink variety. Hardly acceptable from an alternate PM.
Tony Abbott has always behaved in this manner. Nothing has changed about his behaviour in the last 10 years.
