Charity begins by looking at how you operate.
The research found an overwhelming percentage of non-profits in the United States were primarily focused on donors and fundraising, rather than basic operational improvements that could actually enhance their success.
In my view, the real danger for these organisations is that donors, corporate and individual, will be looking to 'invest' in charities that manage their operations to maximise the impact of those donations. If I was managing a major sponsorship I'd want an open book arrangement with the recipient organisation rather than pumping dollars into a black hole in return for some signage and nice mentions.
