The PRIA and blogging

Young PR � Blog Archive � PRIA? PRI Nay….

The question I’ve got now is does the PRIA not bother monitoring the blogosphere (a big mistake)? Or, does the PRIA monitor the blogosphere and not bother responding to bloggers (a much bigger mistake)?

It would be interesting to know the answers to these question.

I've recieved a comment on my blog from someone from the PRIA's New Practitioners group.

I'm hoping to strike up a dialogue. Hell, hopefully I'll get talked around into joining.

It'll be interesting to see if I can start a conversation...

I find that the association is respected by many of our industry leaders in New South Wales. So I find the opportunity to engage with them worthwhile.

Firms that communicate effectively are 4.5 times more likely to report high levels of employee engagement versus firms that communicate less effectively. Hardly a surprising finding, but good to see confirmed when some people tend to look past communication when they are looking to find ways to get employees more engaged. If an organisation says there is an employee engagement problem, you can do a lot worse than address the communications problem and then see if there is still an engagement problem.
