P&O CRUISES has issued an apology for its advertising campaign that promoted cruises with images of bikini-clad women using the slogans "Seamen wanted", "more girls" and "more fun" on board for men.
What were they thinking? Presumably this was supposed to be a clever marketing campaign targeted at a particular audience (ie men who hate women) and not one they ever wanted to see on the front page of a newspaper during a murder inquest. But any serious company does an issues analysis on this stuff and thinks through the possible consequences. It would seem that P&O didn't do that preparation. Reputation counts guys.
