Debnam only 12 points behind: good news or bad?
smh.com.au. If an election were held today, Labor would preserve its eight seat majority and 23 seat advantage over the coalition in the 93 seat lower house. Some commentators have interpreted today's published poll results as good news for the Debnam led Opposition because it is an improvement on the last lot of figures. But the reality is that without a dramatic improvement in the last two weeks of the campaign, the Coalition will come out of the election with very little improvement in its electoral position and facing four more years in the wilderness.

That was no interview T; it was a self-aggrandising lynching, with AJ as judge, jury and executioner. And what an unenviable interview posi for Rhiannon - dilemma of whether to tolerate the abuse or assert she needed to be heard out or else end the interview?

No, not an interview at all. But her real problem was holding an indefensible position. How can they argue the horrors of a desalination plant and then preference the ALP in the seats most directly affected?

Indefensible absolutely; and 'how can they argue'...maybe because the game is politics, not ethics?

Hi Trev; an analysis of AJ techniques by a coupla academics; accuse him of 'repetition of rhetorical devices used in advertising and propaganda', and significantly politically influential.
